The award-winning Medical Center has begun construction on its new
$100 Million Institute scheduled to open in 2023.
JUPITER, Fla. - Jupiter Medical Center Foundation hosted a groundbreaking
ceremony with hospital and city officials along with donors and special
guests on Tuesday, April 5, to signify the official start of construction
on the new 90,000-sqaure-foot, state-of-the-art Surgical Institute.
“The Surgical Institute has been years in the making and illustrates
our vision for the future. Our goal is to continue to offer the most advanced
procedures available, and this Institute will allow us to bring together
highly trained physicians and cutting-edge technology to save lives, further
improve outcomes, and maximize patient safety,” said Dr. Amit Rastogi,
CEO of Jupiter Medical Center.
The Surgical Institute at Jupiter Medical Center will house 16 state-of-the-art
“smart” operating rooms and two hybrid operating rooms. The
dedicated facility will also house a more than 5,000-square-foot sterilization
department. The smart operating rooms have been designed to accommodate
a variety of surgeries, while the two hybrid rooms can transition from
a minimally invasive surgery to an open procedure.
Development of the Surgical Institute is in direct response to Jupiter
Medical Center’s explosive growth and patient volumes in both traditional
and minimally invasive surgical procedures, with more than 15,000 performed annually.
The Surgical Institute is part of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation’s
$300 million
Vision. Innovation. Impact. Campaign. This campaign empowers Jupiter Medical Center to deliver the
region’s highest quality health care, while maintaining their independence
and powerful dedication to the local community.
“Through the generosity of our donors, Jupiter Medical Center continues
to grow in order meet the needs of our patients," said Mike Morsberger,
Jupiter Medical Center Foundation President and Chief Philanthropy Officer.
“The new Surgical Institute shows Jupiter Medical Center is committed
to investing in the best equipment and facilities to better serve our
community.”
