Jupiter Medical Center Receives $15,000 for COVID-19 Relief Fund from TD Bank
Jupiter, Fla. (June 9, 2020) - Jupiter Medical Center Foundation received a $15,000 donation from the
TD Bank Charitable Foundation earmarked for the hospital’s newly
established COVID-19 Relief Fund. The Relief Fund was created to help
offset losses due to decreased volumes and purchase additional medical
equipment to address the hospital’s highest priority needs.
“We are grateful to the TD Bank Charitable Foundation for their gift
to our COVID-19 Relief Fund,” said Liv Vesely, President of Jupiter
Medical Center Foundation. “Community support is essential in times
of great challenge, and every time a patient needs our help.”
The TD Bank Charitable Foundation has responded to the toll the coronavirus
has had on the community by offering financial assistance to organizations
that have had to modify or cancel fundraising programs and events. They
have offered support to Jupiter Medical Center for its leadership in early
detection and treatment of COVID-19.
“TD Bank has a long-standing commitment to its customers and communities,”
said Todd O'Brien, senior vice president and southeast regional team
lead for TD Bank’s Institutional Healthcare Banking group. “The
spread of COVID-19 has created a burden on our community and its organizations,
and we want to support the people who are helping fight it. Jupiter Medical
Center is at the forefront of testing, treating and advancing sophisticated
technologies that will aid in the containment of this new virus.”
The COVID-19 Relief Fund is part of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation’s
$300 million
Vision. Innovation. Impact. Campaign, which is guided by a vision to bring world-class clinical programs
to the community, while providing the highest standards of safety, quality
and patient experience.
