JUPITER, FLA. (March 7, 2016) — On Thursday, February 25th over 400 members of the Jupiter community
experienced a sneak peek into the future of Jupiter Medical Center as
they launched the historic campaign –
Vision. Innovation. Impact. This aggressive campaign will support Jupiter Medical Center’s strategic
vision to transform the face of healthcare in the region with state-of-the-art
technology, facilities, top-notch physicians, clinical research and more.
Jupiter Medical Center CEO and President, John Couris shared with the community
three virtual tours featuring the future state-of-the-art Comprehensive
Stroke Center, Comprehensive Cancer Institute and the new Surgical Pavilion.
In his remarks, John Couris posed and answered the question on everyone’s
mind, “Why the transformation now? Because our population is growing,
birthrates are increasing, more families with children are moving to the
area expecting to have world-class pediatric care and residents are staying
longer and expect us to manage their healthcare – regardless of
complexity.” Joe Taddeo, Chairman of the Jupiter Medical Center
Foundation Board reinforced Couris’s message by reminding everyone,
“it’s not a matter of ‘if’ you will need Jupiter
Medical Center, it is a matter of ‘when’.”
John Couris was also joined on stage by Marty Dytrych, Chairman of the
Board, Jupiter Medical Center; Dr. Anthony Addesa, Medical Director, Radiation
Oncology; Dr. Lee Fox, Chief of Radiology; Dr. Gonzalo Loveday, Chief
of Cardiology, Mount Sinai Heart New York at Jupiter Medical Center, and
Liv Vesely, President of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation.
The presentation included a very touching patient testimonial video featuring
lung cancer survivor, Harold “Bud” Stambaugh followed by Liv
Vesely who shared a very heartfelt thank you to the hospital’s most
philanthropic donors and closed with the charge to everyone, “together
– with your support – I have no doubt that we will transform
healthcare in our region.” The remarks ended with a champagne toast
led by John Couris to officially kick of the Launch. The beautiful evening
was generously underwritten by
Sheridan – Performance-Driven Physician Services.
