COMING SOON

HERE WE GROW AGAIN!

As our census continues to soar, Jupiter Medical Center is once again faced with the need to grow. In order to maintain our high standards of providing the best in quality patient care, we are pleased to share that in 2025, we will open a new five-story, 92-bed Patient Care Tower (embed fly-through video). An accompanying five-deck parking pavilion with an additional 800 parking spaces will also bring added convenience for patients and families.

The combined $135 million project will significantly increase our capacity to care for people in our community and will include oncology, cardiovascular and orthopedic units. Help us grow!

THE NEW BARB AND JOE CHARLES CENTER FOR UROLOGY

The couple’s donation enables JMC to create more access to urological care, acquire more state-of-the-art technology and to create a team to specialize in general urology and urological cancers.

“It is our desire that the new center employ the latest cutting-edge protocols, working to provide best-in-class care while also addressing the root causes of common urological conditions. This center will be a much-needed, unparalleled resource for our community,” said a statement released by Joe and Barbara Charles. Read more.

Scholarships ensure a well-trained work force that remains dedicated to patients, caregivers and families while fulfilling the mission of the hospital – to deliver excellent and compassionate health care advancing the well-being of the people we serve.

Thanks to the investment from donors in our community, our newly created scholarship programs for clinical and non-clinical team members, the “Leonard A. Lauder Scholarship Program” and the “Natasha and Dirk Ziff Scholarship Program,” make a significant impact on the quality of care we provide to our patients. We know that a highly skilled team is fundamental to clinical excellence and a great patient experience. Donor support showcases the importance of investing in our workforce, and when team members feel valued and have growth and development opportunities - that improves culture. Through these scholarship programs we are not only retaining team members, we are also attracting new nurses, lab and imaging techs and so many more positions. CARDIOLOGY/HEART & VASCULAR

Jupiter Medical Center's Robson Heart & Vascular Institute has expanded access to exceptional cardiac care through world-class talent, advanced technology and the latest innovation, including:

• Advanced cardiac surgery, including off-pump bypass surgery
• Minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve procedures
• The Elliott Family Center for Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Minimally invasive vascular procedures

Since last fiscal year, the program has shown significant growth with the number of electrophysiology cases growing 19 percent; the number of cardiac device implants is on pace to grow 49 percent; and so far we have performed 687 cardiac catheterizations, including balloon angioplasty, stents and angiography since the beginning of FY 2023-24.

Thanks to the support and generosity of our donors, and of course the immensely talented Cardiovascular Team, we are well on our way to becoming the premier cardiovascular program in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

ANOTHER JMC ACCOMPLISHMENT

We are proud to announce that our dedicated team at Jupiter Medical Center has accomplished the 200th WATCHMAN™ Implant Procedure, revolutionizing the way we treat our Afib patients. These innovative and minimally invasive procedure reducing stroke risks and the need for long-term blood thinners are only made possible through donor support. ONCOLOGY

GENETIC COUNSELING

Scientists believe that about 10 percent of cancers are hereditary or passed down through the family. Knowing a patient’s family history and genetic make-up can save lives. Through your gifts, Jupiter Medical Center is changing lives of hundreds of people in the community every day.

Under the direction of Constance “Conni” Murphy, APRN, CGRA, the Genetics program at Jupiter Medical Center has provided much-needed programmatic and financial assistance for more than 387 qualified patients (close to 700 visits) since March 2021. These patients have benefited from financial assistance for co-pays and co-insurance payments, lab and testing fees, cancer surveillance, counseling, imaging, examinations, and procedures. Without your support, these patients may not have been able to obtain the crucial help they needed.

“Many of the patients, especially those who are underinsured or not insured become tearful when I offer them the donor funded resources. Cancer surveillance on an annual basis is very costly for our patients. If I could pass on every hug I have received because of the opportunity to use donor funds, I would. CELEBRATING OUR 1000^th MAKO ROBOTIC-ARM ASSISTED ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY

The Mako system uses a CT scan to create a 3D model of the patient’s unique bone anatomy, enabling surgeons to offer personalized surgical plans for every knee replacement patient. During the surgery, the Mako provides real-time information guiding the surgeon in positioning and aligning the implant.

PEDIATRICS

Always here for families and their children, the donor-funded Mastroianni Family Pediatric Emergency Room is open 24/7 - making sure our littlest patients are cared for when the unforeseen occurs. With our skilled and dedicated staff, rest assured we're not just healing, we're making our ER a comforting place for kids. Our compassionate guide, Michael Rizkalla, MD, aka Dr. Mike, is here to show you why it doesn't have to be scary.

SENSORY TOWERS

Thanks to donor support, Jupiter Medical Center obtained two sensory towers. Aimed to relax, distract, and uplift children with sensory disabilities during medical procedures, the Vecta Deluxe Mobile Sensory Station features an aromatherapy diffuser, dynamic fiber optic tails, an LED projector that displays calming fluid patterns, an interactive colorful bubble tube, and stereo capabilities. While the Vecta caters towards children aged 2-10, it has also proven to help soothe and comfort older children with intellectual disabilities and cognitive limitations before, after, and during medical procedures.

REHABILITATION & WELLNESS

Thanks to the generous support of donors, Jupiter Medical Center can offer a variety of comprehensive individualized occupational, physical and speech-language therapy services and programs. These programs are available for both inpatient and at our outpatient locations, helping patients reach their maximum functional potential.

With this support, team members are also able to receive advanced certifications and specialized trainings in multiple areas such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, pediatric and neonatal intensive care specialties, pain management and orthopedic specialties. The service lines within the hospital that are impacted by this advanced training include, pediatrics, obstetrics, orthopedics, stroke/neurology and oncology.

"These courses really benefit all of our patients tremendously, but especially more complex patients, by helping to expand our skills and knowledge base," says Kristine Day, JMC Rehabilitation Therapist "I have 30 years of experience and there's always more we can learn and new techniques coming out. SUZANNE NIEDLAND'S MATCHING GIFT CHALLENGE

A few months ago, donors made a significant impact to supporting state-of-the-art technology at the MWNBC. Raising more than $500,000 to upgrade MRI capabilities and purchase a new MRI biopsy table has ensured our patients that they are receiving the best care possible. These upgrades are now complete and are fundamental steps toward early detection and enhanced patient outcomes for everyone.
